- 11Martbazar 2010 (16:00)
Participants: up to 8 people
Package includes:
1. Individual intake sessions with each participant
2. Four group sessions (of 1-2 hours duration, every 2 weeks) with (for example) the following topics:
DiSC personality types for managers/team leaders
• How to recognize the behavior, needs, motivational drivers of each individual in my team and how to respond to them in a way that motivates them and improves my communication with them
Recognition – the key to employee engagement
• How does my attention drive my team members’ behavior?
• 3-dimensional recognition, before- and after-the-fact-recognition
• The most powerful and motivating forms of recognition do not cost a thing!
Respect
• What does Respect mean to me?
• Do I really respect everyone, always? Is my team respecting me?
• Raising awareness, spotting situations where I could show more respect to my team, to my colleagues, to my manager
Getting to know my team
• The more I know about the individuals in my team, the better I can manage and lead them
• How often should I meet with them?
• How to conduct one-on-one meetings? (Handy tools/key reminders will be provided)
3. Individual Exit-Interviews / Reviews
4. A set of People Management Coaching Cards for each participant
“Homework” (mostly observational and not time consuming) is given in each session and reviewed at the beginning of each following session.
At the end of the program, each participant will set clear objectives for themselves to continue their self-development. The coaching cards will aid them in that process.
A follow up meeting 3-6 months afterwards is suggested.
Additional benefits compared to other training programs:
- Higher knowledge retention than after one-off training courses due to the ongoing nature of this program
- Workshop duration: 2 hours max., so inboxes of participants won’t fill up/no work back log occurs
- A network of your team leaders (the participants) is being created, which will improve your inter-depart-mental communication and open up new resources to them
- Participants often decide to continue meeting up and coaching each other beyond the conclusion of the program – they don’t only become better managers but also better coaches!
